The Recording King RK-ELITE-75 The Elite Flying Eagle is the brand’s most faithful tribute to the pre-war bluegrass banjos of the 1930s. A one-piece mahogany resonator, true steam-bent 3-ply maple rim and Mastertone-style tone ring give it the explosive, focused voice that serious bluegrass players spend years chasing.
The bound ebony fretboard and double-cut peghead are dressed in custom Flying Eagle mother-of-pearl inlay, while Gotoh planetary tuners with a geared 5th peg keep tuning rock solid. A bone nut, Presto-style tailpiece and 5/8″ maple/ebony bridge round out a professional-grade build, and a vintage-style hardshell case is included.
