The OB-150WF answers a common request from bluegrass players: more room across the fingerboard. The “WF” is a wide fingerboard paired with a wider nut, which spaces the strings a little further apart. That extra spacing makes clean fretting easier, helps keep your rolls crisp, and is a genuine comfort upgrade for players with larger hands, all without changing the instrument’s classic feel anywhere else.
Tone is full OB-150. A 20-hole bell brass flathead tone ring sits on an 11-inch three-ply maple rim with a one-piece cast flange, the pre-war Mastertone recipe that produces deep, focused, woody projection. The maple neck carries vintage-style inlays on a rosewood fingerboard, a ZeroGlide nut keeps open and fretted notes in agreement, and Gold Tone planetary tuners hold pitch through a long jam. The satin finish keeps the neck quick under your hand.
Every OB-150WF is professionally set up at Gold Tone’s factory in Titusville, Florida before it ships, with head tension, bridge placement, action, and intonation dialed in. A hard case is included.
